Educational Attainment by Generation

A seismic shift in education has occurred between the Silent Generation and Millennials. Young adults today are much more likely to have earned degrees than the previous three generations. Another trend is a higher percentage of women than men have completed college in the Gen X and Millenial age groups. Pew Research Center analyzed the educational attainment of each generation while in the 25- to 37-year-old age range.
