Eisenhower Decision Matrix

If you struggle with poor productivity or procrastination, you might try the Eisenhower Matrix.  34th U.S. President and 5-star Army general Dwight D. Eisenhower was a master at using his time wisely and developed a simple system for task categorization. In his 4-part matrix, a task could be:

  • Urgent and important (do immediately).
  • Important, but not urgent (schedule to do later).
  • Urgent, but not important (delegate to someone else).
  • Neither urgent nor important (eliminate).

Deciding where a task falls in the matrix will help you plan and prioritize your time.
