Africa is the Youngest Continent

Circulated: February 28, 2019

While the rest of the world keeps getting older, the median age of Africa — and especially sub-Saharan Africa — stays young. If they’re healthy and educated, they will drive economic growth and innovation.

Median age in North America is 35 years old while in Africa it is 18 years old. For Kids 0–4, the rest of the world is shrinking while Africa is rising.
