A philosophy for everyday living: Stoicism

Stoicism is a school of philosophy founded in Athens, Greece around 2,300 years ago. It’s a philosophy designed to make us more resilient, happier, and wiser.

Guiding principles include, but are not limited to:

  1. Commitment to four virtues: Courage, Discipline, Justice, Wisdom.

  2. We do not control what happens, but we control how we respond. Accept that many things are outside of our control.

  3. Actively work to disconfirm your beliefs and seek different perspectives.

  4. Develop a love for learning. Actively seek mentors and catalog what you learn.
