Cord-Cutting Accelerates
Circulated: January 14, 2020
Cord-cutting is when consumers stop paying for cable television and instead subscribe to internet streaming services. In 2019 pay TV households in the U.S. declined by 4.2% to 86.5 million.
Pay TV includes cable and satellite customers. Non-Pay-TV includes no subscription and pure-play streaming services such as Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+.
