TSA checkpoint travel numbers
Air travel is about to see another dip in passenger rates due to the pandemic.
Just as air traffic was slowly returning to normal, with the industry celebrating 2 million passengers traveling through US airports in July and 1.9 million last month, the Omicron variant appeared. Travel restrictions have already been tightened or re-introduced.
It is now predicted that air traffic will not reach pre-pandemic rates until 2022 or beyond.
