Amazon named low price leader
Profitero’s annual “Price Wars” study analyzes the different prices of products in 21 categories such as household products, electronics, and appliances, from different companies. In 2020, Profitero’s study indicated that Amazon had the lowest prices in all categories; on average, Amazon’s prices were 15% lower versus other online retailers on identical items.
These savings were especially pronounced in home furniture (35% more affordable than other options in the category), vitamins and supplements (34%), health and personal care (26%), and beauty (22%).
