“Right now the price of admission to do interesting things in space is too high.
When I founded Amazon, we didn’t have to build a transportation network, it existed and that heavy lifting was in place. We didn’t have to build a payment system, that was the credit card system. We didn’t have to put a computer on every desk. The pieces were in place so that with $1 million I could start this company.
I guarantee you that two kids can not build a giant space company in their dorm room. I want to create the heavy lifting infrastructure so that two kids in a dorm room can build a giant space company.”
