Effective cold email technique (with an example)

A cold email is sent to someone who doesn’t have an existing connection to you. In 2014, a high school student emailed the CEO of Snapchat and wound up with an internship.

Why did it work?

• Short & Sweet: Extremely short and to the point (even going as far as calling out the brevity of the email upfront).

• Credentials: Includes clear credentials around programming experience and capabilities.

• Clear Call-to-Action: Specific question and ask in the last line of the email.
