Many tech employees are planning to return to an office but it is also clear that remote work is here to stay as a mainstream work option. TrueUp, a tech job platform, tracks 228,000 open tech jobs at 2,000 tech companies. 16% of open tech jobs are listed with Remote as an option, more than the total number of tech jobs in the entire San Francisco Bay Area (15%).
Sales Engineering roles are the most likely to be remote (+47% more likely than other jobs), followed by Recruiter roles (+42%). The roles least likely to be listed as remote are Exec Assistants (-56%) and Tech Support (-34%).
