How to write a blurb for your startup

A great blurb gets people excited about your startup in just a few seconds.

It's succinct and easily modifiable for different purposes:

  • Sales (customers)

  • Recruiting (future employees)

  • Fundraising (investors)

Components to a great blurb:

  1. A one-sentence pitch

  2. Context; relevant information personalized to your audience

  3. A bulleted list of relevant data that is very easy to digest.

    1. How many people use your product or service?

    2. At what volume do those people use your product?

    3. Are any notable people involved?

Bonus: See an example below from the early days of Loom.
