Consumers expect fast & free delivery
A rising number of consumers look for free shipping when shopping online. Globally, 64% of shoppers want free delivery.
Consumers also increasingly demand fast shipping, with 39% expecting free 2-day delivery. The National Retail Federation (NRF) estimated in a 2018 report that 29% of shoppers abandoned a purchase when 2-day shipping wasn’t free. Across generations, Millennials are most apt to ditch a shopping cart without fast and free shipping.
