Razors to Live By

A “razor” is a rule of thumb that simplifies decision making.

  1. The Feynman Razor: If someone uses complicated jargon to explain something, they probably don’t understand it.

  2. The Uphill Decision: When faced with two options, choose the one that’s more challenging in the short term.

  3. Occam's Razor: The simplest explanation is often the best one.

  4. The Invest vs. Spend Test: Prioritize investing time with meaningful activities rather than just spending time.
