Thanks for sharing these facts every day – I really enjoy reading them. I noticed that yesterday’s fact showed Seattle with a tech talent number of 190K and today’s showed the Seattle tech talent number as 340K. Since this dramatically changes the rankings and tech density, I wanted to check which one was the correct number?
How is Austin not in this list. We have 86,000 tech professionals according to the CBRE article listed by Don Franke, and the Metro area is about 2.3M according to Wikipedia. This means Austin has a 3.7% density, making it the #5 spot in the nation.
Surprised Austin didn't make top 10. I found this recent study that may have used a different approach: https://www.cbre.com/insights/books/scoring-tech-talent-2022/03-which-are-the-top-ranked-tech-talent-markets
